Then Deborah Park, an auctioneer from Christie’s, took to the
floor to chair our fundraising auction.
Amongst the lots were a trip on the Venice Simplon-Orient
Express for two, a weekend at the romantic Bauer Hotel in Venice and a Vespa moped. The auction and subsequent silent auction raised £14,500.
After the auction, dancing resumed and was much enjoyed by all the guests. The dance floor was full of whirling dancers until midnight.
All together, the Masked Ball raised over £30,000 for MOMENTUM, a figure of which we are hugely proud. This sum will be put towards our current project which is to re-design and refurbish
the Playroom and the Teenager’s Room in the Paediatric unit at Kingston Hospital.
Many thanks to our sponsors for the evening, Knight Frank Estate Agents, Forsters Solicitors and O’Neills Design and Build.
Also, many thanks to the companies and individuals who donated auction lots, resources and equipment. Most of all thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to help us stage such a memorable event. |
