10.30am - 4pm
This year, our Superheroes Walk is bigger and better! Join us for a special Superheroes treasure trail, designed for children of all ages. There will also be a range of superheroes waiting to greet children along the one mile route, including Batman, Wonder Woman, Captain America, Spider-Man, Superman, Iron Man and of course, our mascot, Mo the Owl.
The aim of the day is to raise money, so we ask that everyone taking part in the treasure trail aims to obtain sponsorship from friends and family for their participation in the one mile walk.
It's always a fantastic day and a great excuse for children (and parents!) to dress up as their favourite superheroes.
Date: Sunday 19th May
Time: 10.30am for the treasure trail. Family fun day 11.30am - 4pm.
Location: Poole Road Recreation Ground, Ewell
Distance: Just under 1 mile
Dress code: Superhero attire
After the walk there will be a family fun day, including fun fair rides, soft play for under 5s, live entertainment, activities and food/drink.
We ask that families that take part in the walk aim to raise £50 per family of four, which could pay for a music therapy session for a child we support. This could be raised in a number of ways and we'd be happy to help with fundraising ideas, which could include a car boot sale, cake sale or car washing!
How to get involved
It's simple. You need to set up your fundraising page as soon as possible, that way you can start asking friends and family for sponsorship. Please email Katy if you have any questions about the day, or would like some help with ideas for fundraising.
About the day
The Superheroes Day was first set up to celebrate the life of Ollie Lovis. It takes part around his birthday each year to thank Momentum Children’s Charity for the support given to Ollie and his family and to raise money to help us support other families. All money raised is split between Momentum Children’s Charity and Ollie’s Star.
