Channel Swim: Tudor Morris
Tudor has completed a number of fundraising challenges for Momentum including a solo-swim of the English Channel. He swam the challenge in an impressive time of 15 hours and 53 minutes without stopping or touching to boat and swimming close to 40 miles in the end. The water was a very chilly 15 degrees and full of jellyfish and cargo boats that he had to try and avoid!
Tudor raised a staggering £16,210.08 through individual donations, his Just Giving page and through publicising his challenge with a Facebook event.
“I chose Momentum because they helped me out so much when I was ill. I was diagnosed in 2004 with stage 3 non-hodgkin’s lymphoma, and went through treatment for 2.5 years to (thankfully) come out healthy on the other end. I got into a health and fitness lifestyle as the contrast with being bedridden and undergoing chemotherapy to running marathons and swimming in open water is quite dramatic - and I know which one I prefer!”
