Thomas Cook Children's Charity
Thomas Cook Children's Charity generously donated just over £25,000 to Momentum to allow us to completely transform the Children's A&E Waiting Area in Kingston Hospital.
The waiting area was a dull space that was in great need of improvement to make it more child-friendly and welcoming. Also, as the average number of visitors a day is 86, it needed to be suitable for the large number of patients.
The beautiful renovation of the waiting area includes new tables, toys and a drinks machine to compliment the stunning new beach-themed wall art featuring delightful poetry.
The Thomas Cook Children’s Charity aims to improve the life of children and their communities through improving education, well-being and health care facilities. They raise money by collecting unwanted coins on their return flights and in store, staff fundraising and giving customers the chance to donate when booking their holidays.
Aoife McDonogh, of Thomas Cook Children’s Charity, said: “Thomas Cook Children’s Charity is committed to improving children’s lives. We are delighted to be able to support Momentum and their work at Kingston Paediatric A&E, enhancing the waiting room area with children in mind, making visits to the hospital less daunting and stressful.”
