Go Gold In Support Of Childhood Cancer Awareness 2018
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, adopted by charities in the UK and worldwide, to raise awareness of childhood cancer. The gold ribbon is the official symbol of childhood cancer and is recognised and promoted by charities, organisations, families and friends all round the world.
Every September Momentum encourages people across South West London and Surrey to Go Gold to honour the brave local children we support, and raise funds towards our vital family support services.
Almost 4,000 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK. That's 10 families every single day who receive the shocking news that their child is seriously ill. Treatment is a long and gruelling journey. Families will undoubtedly go through the most heart-wrenching time of their lives. And this is where Momentum can help.
Our Golden Goal for 2018
It costs us around £10,000 for the Family Support Team to support our 150 families every month. We are aiming to raise this amount to allow us to support families during the month of September.
Your donation, however small or large, can make a huge difference, so please donate here or put on your own golden fundraiser to raise money during the month.
