    Boating Breaks

Families we support can enjoy Moments on the River

Boat trips and coronavirus:  Following the latest government guidance and regulations, we are currently unable to take any boat bookings. We will continue to monitor guidance, as well as winter weather conditions, should things change.

    ***************************************************************************

Momentum Children's Charity is the proud owner of a wide-beam 40ft canal boat. Her name is Moments on the River and she lives in Shepperton Marina.

Moments on the River can hold up to 10 people, including children, and two crew, and can be used by our supported families in a variety of ways:

    • You can book her for a 2-3 hour cruise with a volunteer crew.
    • You can organise an overnight stay on board (please note that these are currently not available due to coronavirus restrictions)
    • You may prefer just to stay put and enjoy the boat moored up in the beautiful surroundings of Shepperton Marina.

In the marina there is a canoe centre where you can hire out canoes and kayaks to use on their little lake or on the river.

Walton town centre is only a 15 minute walk (down the cycle path) where you will find a wealth of shops and restaurants.

The boat has a kitchenette (with fridge, stove and oven) and a shower-room on board.

If you wish to book a cruise on Moments on the River please fill in the request form and send to respite@moment-um.org or call the office.
