Sharing experiences and worries with other families can be a huge help
It can feel incredibly lonely when your child is seriously ill. Day-to-day life changes completely, and now revolves around treatment plans, hospital appointments, and caring for your child throughout.
We know how incredibly important it is to be able to share worries, concerns and experiences with other families who are going through similar events, and who understand. Through our range of social activities, we aim to bring families together and realise that they are not alone.
Support Coffee Mornings
We hold regular, informal coffee mornings, in a range of venues, where parents can come together and meet others who live locally and are going through similar experiences.
Children/Sibling Pamper Sessions
Children undergoing treatment and their siblings love our pamper sessions, that include mini facial, nail parlour and back massage. Parents are offered refreshments and snacks whilst they wait, and children hugely benefit from the opportunity to meet others in similar circumstances.
Evening Drinks
We also organise evening social events allowing parents to meet and chat in a more relaxed environment.
