Trips
Our annual Golden Bus trip is a truly memorable experience
We believe in spoiling the children, and families, that we support! One way in which we try to bring a little light at seemingly dark times is through day trips. This gives families something to look forward to, a chance to enjoy some quality time together. All trips are organised with seriously ill children in mind.
We will provide tailored, individual trips for individual families, depending on their circumstances and their child’s illness.
In addition, we also arrange two big group trips each year, bringing families together to share experiences and to get to know one another.
Past trips have included:
Legoland
Momentum, with the aid of Arriva, took a number of Momentum families on a fantastic Arriva Gold Bus last December to Legoland, to meet Santa and enjoy everything that the attraction has to offer. Mo the Owl even hitched a ride, much to the delight of all the children.
Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway Train Trip
Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway operate a small fleet of one-third scale steam locomotives and they invited Momentum families on a fantastic train trip to the beach for a picnic. The return journey involved a stop at New Romney on the way home for face painting, balloon modelling and magic show.
Theatre
Last year we took a number of our families on a group trip to see Mamma Mia, the fantastic west-end musical, at the Novello Theatre in London.
