Momentum Children’s Charity supports children with cancer and life-challenging conditions. Our Family Support Workers offer tailored practical and emotional help to the entire family, through our unique support programme at home and in hospital, which includes therapy services, counselling, holidays and experiences. We improve the environment for children treated in local hospitals, with our children’s ward refurbishments. At any one time we support around 150 families whose children are in treatment and a further 100 bereaved families, across SW London, Surrey and West Sussex. We believe no family should have to cope alone and we’re there at every step, forever.
We are a local organisation, with a small but very friendly and enthusiastic team. The charity relies 100% on individual donations, and we need to raise every penny required to carry out our work. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a fabulous charity as part of our fundraising team.
THE ROLE The main objective of this role is to look after individuals and community organisations who are raising money for us, through their own fundraising activities and events. This includes responding to enquiries, providing fundraisers with support and resources for their fundraising activity, attending events or going out to meetings, sending out thank yous and logging money that is received. You will deal with all sorts of people in this role, from wonderful youngsters who choose to hold a cake sale for us, to rotarians who select our charity to benefit from their Annual Dinner. Each day is busy, varied and extremely rewarding!
WHAT WE NEED Experience of charity fundraising useful but not essential. Strong administrative and IT skills are vital, along with a friendly, confident personality and being able to take the initiative!
TO APPLY Send a covering email outlining why you are interested in the role and your recent work experience, to: firstname.lastname@example.org. Deadline 12th October 2018.
