North Cheam Sainsbury's Partnership with Momentum raises over £10,000
Generous donations from staff and customers at Sainsbury’s in North Cheam along with in-store fundraising events by Momentum children’s charity has raised over £10,000 to support sick children and their families locally.
Today Epsom mum Terri Lovis, who sadly lost her son Ollie to cancer last year, received a large cheque from Sainsbury’s North Cheam store manager Cyrus Dana on behalf of Momentum, after a year of the charity being the store’s chosen Local Charity Of The Year.
The Kingston-based charity, which supports children with cancer and life-limiting conditions across SW London and Surrey, supported the Lovis family throughout Ollie’s illness and continues to support the family.
Store manager Cyrus Dana said: “It has been a great experience and opportunity to work with such a fantastic organisation. Momentum has touched so many people’s hearts and has really brought all the staff here together as a team.”
Terri, who has two other children, said: “My nanny’s husband David is the online manager here. He introduced us to Sainsbury’s and was integral to forging the partnership with Momentum. He knew Ollie well and saw firsthand how much Momentum supported us and continues to do so.”
Momentum was thrilled to receive a final cheque today of £6,631.27 which brings the total raised through fundraising activities over the past year to over £10,000.
