Family Support Team
Every family will have their own Family Support Worker
*Covid-19 update* Please refer to our official Covid-19 statement for up to date information about how our support services are adapting to the evolving situation.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer or another life-challenging condition and the hospital refers the family to us, one of our Family Support Workers will contact the family as soon as possible.
Every family is different. With this in mind, a Family Support Worker is appointed to be the main point of contact for the family: it is the Family Support Worker's role to understand what the family needs in both the short and long term and to ensure the family gets the appropriate support at any given time. The Family Support Worker remains as the family's main contact throughout the child's treatment and if required, beyond.
In addition to being in contact with individual families, our Family Support Workers organise Support Group coffee mornings, trips and family experiences, therapies for children undergoing treatment and can arrange contact with other families with children undergoing treatment.
This is just one way that we stand shoulder to shoulder with families going through the toughest of times.
If you are a Momentum family and wish to speak to your Family Support Worker, please call 020 8974 5931.
