Families love spending time out together in our holiday homes
In light of updated government guidance concerning non-essential travel, our New Forest and Pagham holiday cabins, along with our riverboat on the Thames, will be closed until further notice. We appreciate this will be disappointing to many families who rely on our respite services to provide a much-needed break from the stresses of treatment. We aim to be up and running again as soon as it is safe to do so.
Please refer to our full official Covid-19 statement for up to date information about how our support services are adapting to the evolving situation.
We are very fortunate to own two stunning log cabins at Shorefield Country Park and a fabulous beach hut near New Milton in the New Forest. We have also recently purchased a beautiful new log cabin at Church Farm Holiday Village in Pagham, West Sussex.
The log cabins and beach hut are available for children and their families for a respite break. We aim to arrange around 100 breaks each year, ranging from long weekends to week-long holidays.
These respite breaks are funded entirely by the charity (aside from a voluntary donation) and are a fantastic way for families to get away from the stress of difficult treatment plans, or simply to enjoy some precious time together. The cabins are well equipped and not too far from home. Having a child with cancer rules out a holiday for many families, and our cabins offer a good alternative.
Please note that we are unable to respond to booking requests, or answer questions about availability without receipt of a booking request form. This is to enable the booking process to be as fair as possible. Bookings will be confirmed at least 3 weeks before the requested time.
The cabins can be booked for up to one week at a time. School holidays tend to get very busy so do consider going for a weekend (or even a long weekend) during term time. The cabins are available all year round (with a month closure in January).
