    Respite Holidays

Families love spending time together in our holiday homes

Respite holidays and coronavirus: We're hopeful that we'll be able to resume our respite breaks from April, should the government advice at the time allow. If you'd like to make a provisional booking enquiry please see 'How to book your respite break' below.

If you need assistance relating to an existing booking, you can call our Respite Booking Enquiries (Mon-Tues, Thurs-Fri) on 07388 474 386

We are very fortunate to own two stunning cabins at Shorefield Country Park and a fabulous beach hut near New Milton in the New Forest. We have also recently purchased a beautiful lagoon-view caravan at Church Farm Holiday Village in Pagham, West Sussex.

The caravan, cabins and beach hut are available for children and their families for a respite break. We aim to arrange around 100 breaks each year, ranging from long weekends to week-long holidays.

These respite breaks are funded entirely by the charity (aside from a voluntary donation) and are a fantastic way for families to get away from the stress of difficult treatment plans, or simply to enjoy some precious time together. The cabins are well equipped and not too far from home. Having a child with cancer rules out a holiday for many families, and our cabins offer a good alternative.

How to book your respite break

If you are a supported family and would like to enquire about a booking, please download our Booking Reservation Form and email it to respite@moment-um.org.

Please note that we are unable to respond to booking requests, or answer questions about availability without receipt of a booking request form. This is to enable the booking process to be as fair as possible. Bookings will be confirmed at least 3 weeks before the requested time.

The cabins can be booked for up to one week at a time. School holidays tend to get very busy so do consider going for a weekend (or even a long weekend) during term time. The cabins are available all year round (with a month closure in January).

    More details

Please note that we do not permit dogs in the Shorefield cabins, however at Church Farm we do allow for one well-behaved dog.

Check out Shorefield Holiday Park and Church Farm Holiday Park to get more of a feel for what the sites are like.

If you have any other questions about the cabins then please email us or call us on 020 8974 5931.
